A 130 metre high boiler at a coal-fired power station is a sight to behold. Towering over its surroundings, it gives an idea of the scale of engineering that goes into large industrial projects. The Medupi power station in South Africa has six of these boilers. And it’s also the largest construction project in the southern hemisphere. KAEFER was responsible for insulating the boilers as well as the pipes leading to and from them.
